first thing i remember hearing was johnny cash (dads favorite) and wacky novelty comp lp's that mum used to put on to keep me happy, shit like "yummy yummy yummy" and other late 60s bubblegum bands. i still love that shit.
love it.

the first band i got into myself was kiss and despite later learning what kind of person gene simmons is... i still love them.
would have been 1980.

after that it was prince, pink floyd and ac/dc, in fact i still like all that stuff.

Wouldn't it be funny if some guy were like, "Yeah, the first band I really got into was Throbbing Gristle. My son is three years old, his favourite band is The Vandals. He also requests Shellac, Weezer and The Giddy Motors.

I don't let him listen to Shellac and The Giddy motors anymore because he goes fucking crazy when it's on and starts running into me and jumping into the wall.

Before I was 10 or so, I was a total slave to my parents and older sister's record collection.
So here's the mix: Supertramp, Beatles, ABBA, Bee Gees.
