I hope it turns out to be Velvet Revolver, playing a set after their show at the Star Plaza tonight.

Or a Yo La Tengo/Interpol/Velvet Rolver supergroup doing "I Shall Be Released" and stuff like that.

I would leave the house to see a band called Velvet Rolfer.

I just talked to someone who works there and they told me it will be in fact a live sex show featuring the members of Interpol and the Liars having sex with each other in a variety of experimental styles and positions

They're making a live album?

Backtracking a bit here, anyone have more information than the EB had asbestos? Most old buildings in Chicago have that shit. We paid thousands to have it removed from the pipes in our basement after a contractor cut it and left debris on the floor. Prior to that, we lived at our house for 5 years without doing anything and I was never worried.

Most contractors I've talked with say it is safe if left undisturbed or the ends are wrapped so that there aren't rough edges that can decay. Hell, I face more toxins from the second-hand smoke at most clubs. So what I'd like to know is was the owner of the Bottle confronted by employees about the problem and didn't give a fuck? Did he think the amount that was there was in a spot that wouldn't get damaged and therefore think that it wouldn't harm his employees? Has the Bottle removed it yet? Anyone with inside knowledge, please reply. I'm not defending the bar, I am just curious.

Let me guess, is the Bottle one of your firm's clients?

Oh yeah, you're prolly not at liberty to divulge that info.

One song.

And here I am, stuck in Australia.

Revolver, man, they're only gonna let Interpol play one rinky little song, and then lights up for three hours, and then boom, man, 35 minutes of rock and roll.

I am big enough to admit when I have made a mistake.

That was possibly the worst thing I've ever seen.

I would have been happy with a small set from Interpol or Liars. It ended up being a reggae dub jam(seriously) by those two bands and Skeletor from Deerhunter. Easily the most self-indulgent thing I've ever seen live.

It was a fuckfest of horrible.

At least I didn't lap it up. We left after two "songs" (a song being any lull in the continuous jam quiet enough for me to hear myself scream "you suck" and "this is shit") and told the staff that it was the worst thing I've ever heard. Everyone involved was too busy sucking each others' dicks to care. I feel like I just paid $10 to have these bands jack off all over me.

In the long run, at least I won't waste any time listening to or seeing any of these bands in the future.
