Jesus. It looks like a giant mutant narwhal got stuck rising from the lake for oxygen.

It looked better when it didn't resemble a penis.

Given the sort of world we now live in, these huge presumptuous buildings just scream "terrorist bait."

I hate this argument. It has been used in the local papers here as an argument against Leeds building tall buildings. 'Oh, it's too tall, Bin Laden'll want to crash planes into it'.

9/11 was not an act of architectural criticism. The attacked towers were one of the most emblematic symbols of capitalism in the world: The World Trade Center. They were not attacked because they were tall.

Well, it is the "rumoured" height. The officially guaranteed height is only 700 meters, but it will probably be taller.

But yeah, Al Burj will probably kick its ass. As well as the Murjan Tower's ass, which will only be 1022 meters.

That's an amazing quote right there.

You don't think the biggest building in North America would be a target-worthy symbol?

Anyone flown a plane into the CN Tower yet? The Space Needle? How tall is the Pentagon? Five stories? They attacked that. Are five-storey buildings just an 'open invitation to terrorists'?

See? This building to me is aesthetically unpleasing, and it just looks scary, like it's about to topple over. I'm no architect or anything, and I'm sure every engineer involved could convince any financer that they knew what they were doing, but that's something I wouldn't wanna stand under for...like..a mile.

And what're you talking about we won't get emirates, footballers, unstable adrogynous pedophiles and other celebrities? There's nothing people love more than long, cold winters. Especially when the winds can blow that much harder and colder in an environment of urban canyonization brought on by overbuilding.

Everything above ten feet is ungodly.

There I said it.
