Here's something else to keep in mind:

Buddy up with the members of Allroh, or whatever local band might be opening up for both bands. Catch a ride with them to the venue, and when they're doing their load in, grab a mic stand, guitar case, drum case, etc, and walk in totally free of charge as a Roadie. --This may be problematic however, if one of the bands has 10-20 other people doing the same thing.

garaj istanbul website wrote: On 16th of May, there will be a concert that musicals have been waiting for a long time. Shellac Trio, the most important alternative group from Chicago, is going to meet the Turkish fans for the very first time. We have no doubt that Shellac Trio, whose members are Steve Albini, Tod Trainer and Bob Weston, is going to perform another unforgetable concert just like Einstürzende Neubauten, Tortoise, Sonic Youth.

Maybe when someone comes halfway across the world to rock, and a promoter deigns to bring them, a guy can spring for a ticket.
