I woke up at 11:00 and hung out for a while.
left for work @ noon and listened to zeppelin. not much singing.
my left knee is all cut up from when I did the knee drp during immigrant song last night.
this afternoon, I started a math tutoring website and forum with a 13 year old genius that I've been barely teaching calculus to for three years..
just before work, I called b dub at stockyard productions and made a plan to meet at hpac after work.
set a lunch plan with Marshall to help save Av-Aerie, the art space
turns out hpac closes on sundays @ 5, so I left work early and went to my parent's house to grab some gear.
b dub managed to get to the place before it closed.
we set up in the rehearsal space I got yesterday
I modeled a pair of wrangler jeans, and stackmatic/stnnng t-shirt and bare feet.
I modeled an aluminum lap steel. I modeled a harmonium, I modeled two pairs of sandals, a swiss army belt, a hemp bag that I bought @ lollapalooza in 2007, a watch, a tape recorder, a box set, some albums and a bunch of art I made.
I am now a model.
I climbed a wooden mauntain in sandals.
I climbed another wooden mountain in bare feet.
I did not bother to try it in shoes, because I had just climbed it twice in less.
this space has two cameras running on it at all times.
I am not lying.
so I guesss that means I made two movies tonight. each about 10 hours.
I built a christmas tree for Holy Sons and offered to record an album tonight.
I tracked vocals and percussion in my reverb chamber at the space.
We set the alarm off, and b dub and I met a Cop named XII X (12 10).
his badge literally said "XII X."
He is in the nation of Islam.
So we hung out with a cop named XII X.
that;s his name.
I talked b dub into climbing the mountain and then the other mountain before leaving, and buzzed back holy sons. may not go through, but I ggot some great photographs and recordings of my own shit.. I tracked maybe 30 minutes of vocals. held a listening party for an album I made three weeks ago, having never heard it.
worked on a diorama .
planned a seminar on all of this for you folks.
still growing my hair.

Shivering Shiva, is there a slight gas leak in your house?

absolutely not, my friend.

I'm completely serious. next time we hang out at my place, I'll show you.
Or, if we hang out a Jimp studios mk424 instead, I bet you and I could do the exact same things I've listed above or something different. it's all about scale.

Anyway. When you get to Faiz Zeppelin III, I nominate myself for the role of JPJ understudy.

I'd like you to work with me on Faiz Zeppelin aa and some of the e cycle. the concept art for e is above to get you started. I'll get you the stuff from the a cycle when we hang out.

You should have a copy of my resume and portfolio already.

I know you are a burly bassist, and you know that I've got the pipes.
you also know that anytime you want to play music with me, you just have to get a hold of me, brother.

welcome aboard, all the same.

HI FAIZ---------------YER KRAZY

hi Jimp! thanks for noticing!

I know that you are using the English language in your last number of posts, and that you are a reasonably intelligent guy, as am I, but you lost me here.

"a" cycle? "e" cycle? Pretend I don't know anything about this and give me a call, that we might align fugue states.

On a side note: The six-armed Icarus is the cat's ass.
It's like you put everything into a bottle inside itself.

sorry man. I often start sentences in the middle of ideas.

for Faiz Zep, instead of I II III IV, we're going through the vowels.

a e i o u. that's five, fuckers.
here's some concept art for O:

Read Vonnegut's Bluebeard, please.
Read Rushdie's the Ground Beneath Her Feet and Midnight's Children

musical chairs is a binary system. I do math and think about words and have a ridiculously powerful memory. all. the. time. now if this system works (like Crap Not Crap) on some level, it's because there's an order to it that makes it work. I've started calcualting different systems on a binary code, and it's been kind of fun. you add letters and it's a different typ of puzzle.

the problem with it is that it's also an exponential system. when I started with the first 50 pieces of music, it was no thing, but when I got 50 pieces of music in two weeks, and it was all beautiful, it kinda rocked my shit.

I've been crunching exponents in my head for several months and it's driving me a little crazy.

the point of all of this is not the end. It's not the zep and it's not the chairs and it's not anything that I say. these are just ideas and possible starting and ending points.

it's the idea that if you figure out what the first step is in any system, you can make it work for you. it's like martial arts.

yesterday, I shut down a gas station in protest.

today, I went to where I teach an hour early, blindfolded myself and set up the room with my eyes closed. I placed eight tables and two dozen chairs exactly where I needed them to be because I believed I could and I had a plan.

I have a black belt and then some. you think I can't do shit with my eyes closed?

whatever prank you try to pull, or whatever challenge you give yourself or whatever gift you make for someone because you love them is made because you want good things to happen, everything works out.

take this forum. we don't come here because we get paid. we come here because we love it. this forum works brilliantly, in spite of any ttrouble. it's solid and sturdy and full of people who help peopl because they feel good doing so.

we joke about how this isn't real here, but if our normal lives made us as happy as this forum can make us feel, shouldn't we at least try it out, and not be so jaded that everything around us feels broken.

but you folks seem to like me and I like you, which is why any good cause we put our minds together for, we'll be able to do. but it has to be a good cause.

the problem I've been having with developing these systems is that when you look at all these codes and meanings within meanings over and over, it tends to amplify things. you are more than the sum of your parents. you are more than the sum of your experiences, you are more than the sum of every job you've ever had.

and when you starting amplifying the desire to do good, every hurtful thing that you think of gets amplified, too. so I'm kind of a mess right now, but instead of going crazy and dropping out, I'm letting you folks know that I'm around and am trying to be where I feel safe. I am keeping myself safe and I trust you to trust me because I say it.

we are amplifiers.
and we are because I say we are, and it is because I say it is.

it's a funny little phrase. it makes me laugh and it makes you laugh and you folks reward me by saying it when I am right because it boosts my ego. anyone who's spoken to me knows how much I ramble om, and like attention.

but, for what it's worth as much as I like the attention, and as much as it's hilarious that Adam I made me a verb (I've been verbed before, brother, this ain't your fault I'm so nuts) and that everyone wanted to see what the 10k posts was and that there's a wiki entry and a false definition of kerble on urb dic. but it's still just me, and it puts a lot of stress on my brian sometimes.

it's okay, though.

you people are all beautiful.

seems genius enough to me, you know?
