That list Randall posted gave me pause, as it forced me to realize that in my head the Goo Goo Dolls and Gin Blossoms are completely interchangeable.

Beneath the microscope I think you'll find a more flavor-nuggety trail mix of crap in The Gin Blossoms, whereas the slide reveals The Goo Goo Dolls to bear a smoother, whipped post-pablum diaper sauce. These doo doo delights are nothing in comparison to Matchbox 20 though, the trippelganger in this sonic menage. Their refried butt smoothie adds the extra-mild shit salsa to this burrito supreme.

Sweet Jeebus, not even close. Especially if you look specifically at those tunes listed from '96. Ugh, "Name" is calculated and terrible (which I don't consider mutually exclusive).

I like Gin Blossoms, god damn it. I'll say it and be proud.

This is a truly wicked thunderdome, it's bringing out the argument in everybody. I can't even decide on the subject at hand. I don't outwardly hate Sublime or Vanilla Ice, but I don't like them either. An interesting and non-obvious match-up.

Well, it's a toughie, but I'm going to have to go with Vanilla Ice. Here's why:

Assuming you're locked in a room forced to watch Vanilla Ice perform for you, all you have to do is mosey on down to the electrical outlet and pull the plug. That'll put his shit completely outta business.

With Sublime, it's a litter tougher, seeing as how they did use real instruments, they would be able to make at least some noise, even if in an unplugged condition.

However, Sublime's singer/guitarist dude is dead. Maybe this isn't so easy after all - how horrible can it be to listen to Sublime's bassist and drummer jam? Maybe they'd even suck less without him.
