Big love and respect for both parties involved in this debate.

I can understand both sides, Mandroid for making an uncensored comment (we all have done this, no?) and AJ for taking offense at her comment.

We are adults and able to police ourselves and our conduct without involving Senior Albini in the debate. AJ has aired his griefs, I'm sure Mandriod will have her say as well.

Hm... well, it has been done to me before, (I was asked how I wanted to be raped, from the front or back, remember that?) which of course does not make it right, but it is what it is I guess.

Everyone makes flippant comments out of anger or offense.

Both parties have a good reputation and track record, they are not bad people.
To directly answer your question, 'sup, no, I do not think it was right for AJ to make that comment, but to follow that up, I would wager all the money that I have that if they ran into each other while grocery shopping, AJ would not lay a finger on her, and would even be cordial to her.

I have nothing against Mexicans. As ERawk pointed out, it was indeed blind rage and me being half-awake and reaching for something offensive to grumble. If he had been German, I would have chosen "German piece of shit." Polish? "Polish piece of shit," and I am Polish. I know nothing about these guys other than that they are indeed Mexican, so that was the identifier that I chose to use. If they'd have been hippies or fat guys, I'd have said something about that. I don't see why pointing out someone's race or what they look like is offensive. That it was followed by "piece of shit" has nothing to do with the identifier I used.
