Come on, N/C
[discussing George's ATM code]
Jerry: Oh, come on, just tell me your code already. What is it?
George Costanza: I am not giving you my code.
Cosmo Kramer: I'll bet I can guess it.
George Costanza: Pssh. Yeah. Right.
Cosmo Kramer: Oh, alright. Yeah. Uh, let's see. Um, well, we can throw out birthdays immediately. That's too obvious. And no numbers for you, you're a word man. Alright, let's go deeper. Uh, what kind of man are you? Well, you're weak, spineless, a man of temptations, but what tempts you?
George Costanza: Huh?
Cosmo Kramer: You're a portly fellow, a bit long in the waistband. So what's your pleasure? Is it the salty snacks you crave? No no no no no, yours is a sweet tooth.
George Costanza: Get out of here.
Cosmo Kramer: Oh you may stray, but you'll always return to your dark master, the cocoa bean.
George Costanza: I'm leaving.
Cosmo Kramer: [building up steam as George bolts for the door] And only the purest syrup nectar can satisfy you!
George Costanza: I gotta go.
Cosmo Kramer: If you could you'd guzzle it by the gallon! Ovaltine! Hershey's!
George Costanza: Shut up! Leave it alone! Just drop it!
Cosmo Kramer: Nestlé's Quik!
George Costanza: Shut up! Shut up!

so then any show aired on network tv is crap? silly minotaur. m*a*s*h* was crap? barney miller? taxi? cheers? all crap, no waffles?
sometimes a good one gets through. seinfeld is the best of the best.
Why do you assume that I didn't watch way too much TV as a young lad? A lot of me wants to call you a dickhead, but I've been drinking, so it's probably not called for. In any case, do you know way too much about Webster? In the Heat of the Night? Perry Mason? Gunsmoke? The Lucy Show? I sincerely doubt it.
Was this not the last network TV sitcom to kick ass? Yes.
Of course Taxi was great. Of course the Simpsons were great. Saturday Night Live was great (on and off) for about 30 years. SCTV was fantastic, too.
I never really gave a shit about Cheers. I guess it was funny, I saw enough episodes to make a judgment call...but I never really gave a damn. M*A*S*H*...I never gave a shit about that show either.
There was a time when network TV was all there was. There was a time when production wasn't so fucking slick that you could find an attractive actor or actress with a blemish or two. Those days are gone, CSI and reality television rules the roost, and we've been fucked (network TV-wise) since Seinfeld left the air.
Thank "Jesus" for HBO and Showtime in this post-Seinfeld era though...and The Larry Sanders Show in general.
Even "classic" TV is mostly terrible...it's just fascinating.
Seinfeld is not terrible...in fact, it's NOT CRAP.
Also, Arrested Development is overrated.
Once again, I find myself in complete agreement with Sir Minotaur.
I find AD overrated, but I still enjoyed the series quite a bit.
As far as what's on right now, network television can fuck off and die forever.
Hopefully this writer's strike will continue long enough for the networks to initiate even more reality programming which will drive the citizens to revolt against their cable boxes and demand interesting and provocative television as opposed to the Kelsey Grammar/CSI/Law and Order/dysfunctional family shit on the air now.
Dexter is the only thing on TV I can consistently enjoy. Weeds is out of steam and I usually turn off reruns.

76Crap.
Curb is a million times better than this aptly named "show about nothing".

80I always liked Seinfeld. Especially the portrayals of Steinbrenner and J. Peterman. His tale of his encounter with the "white lotus" in the opium episode was top-notch.
But imagine my disappointment when, as a young lad, I was told that the bass popping score was all done on a synthesizer.
