It got so bad that I had to move all the way up to the front just so I could keep from snapping on motherfuckers.I wasn't even ticked off. Just "Why would you bring a kid to this?"You could almost hear the psyche being damaged.

I thought the whole backstory was generic and cheesy. That was easily the best part of the film.Without spoiling, I did think it was interesting that they made such a straightforward seventies sort of film.Wound up wondering if any of that will carry over to the second Insidious film.

OK, that might be a little strong, but James Wan definitely rested on his laurels with this one. Long, uneven, and with a string of generic scares. Hokey dialogue. Lame plot. A big ol' meh. Also, remind me never to go to a movie on opening weekend. I wanted to firebomb the entire theater after breaking a vial of SARS for good measure. The cop was pretty fucking hot, though. Not sure why you would need a cop at a "cleansing," but I'm glad he was there.edit: still amped for Insidious: Chapter 2

Oh! And that whole thing about that one room in the Warren's household that houses all of the inanimate objects directly involved in "situations?" RIDICULOUS! Why would you have a room like that in your house? With your daughter? Without a lock on the door? Now, don't go inside Satan's tchotchke room, darling.
