He makes wonderfu,l beautiful music. I couldn’t listen to ‘I see a darkness’ for a long time because of the powerful melancholy it resonates. Thankfully I got over this, because I couldn’t imagine my life without this album. Its such a great contrast with the earlier Palace records (which I also love). I haven’t heard the album with Tortoise, but I gather it aint so hot. I guess whatever they produced wasn’t going to stand up to the best they’ve produced individually, especially with a covers record.
He’s also a really good actor, as anyone who’s seen his turn in Matewan will testify.
Not crap in any conceivable way.

BTW I was shocked to hear ‘I see a darkness’ on the shitty teen soap ‘Hollyoaks’ (don’t ask my why it was on, I was hung over), though it was butchered to repeat the chorus over.
Fucking cunts
Credo!

What in the fuck? That's horrible! The thought makes me shudder.

He went to bed about a decade ago, or whenever he sold his soul to the bankers and the elites.

Alright, I may be going bananas, but did thy eyes see the coming of this weird bald bastard on that there MTV2 progr'm Wonder shozen?

It was a particularly odd episode (?) in which the entire show consisted of "Horse Apples" and it seems to me (lest I was seeing things) that along with David Cross, there was Will Oldham clowning and acting a fool... I missed the credits, but he seemed to get a great deal of face time... W/ Banjo.

Anyone else see this?

Hear it. Personally, I think it's wonderful. On My Own has become the most played song on my stereo over the last few months. I often give myself a fix of it before I go to work. I LOVE this album.

Yeah? Ok man, I’ll give it a go. Its worth at least one listen on that recommendation!

Yeah it's really fucking good. Couple of dodgy tracks but worth it for the Lungfish and Springsteen covers alone...
