Had a cheap ikea desk that I liked the format of, but wanted a better top - this was a challenge because it's all saved guitar wood scrap - I kept getting tear outs while planing, cracks while gluing, cursing myself and then remembering that it wasn't used on a guitar for a reason. Sapele + mahogany middle strip out of neck blank cutoffs on the first riser .. Did the edging with cocobola from back wood cutoff.Making the speaker towers after I finish the aforementioned cabs, but my spouse wanted the computer back, and needed to write keys parts.

That's awesome - If you want to build that shape you're golden. We make test benders out of MDF, heating blankets & thin sheet steel. works great.

I have a small divot in the bridge plate of my F30 that I want to fix. It's too small for anything sort of grafting, so per the advice of Elisha, I need to use some wood epoxy to fill it up. Thing is, I never really used wood epoxy. Can you folks recommend one that you've used and tested and know is good? Thanks!

I just need something hard and it doesn't have to look pretty because it goes on the bridge plate.I'll look into your recommendations! I only need a tiny bit so I hope I don't have to buy a gallon of epoxy. Thanks!

Thanks! Is there specific wood epoxy or do you just need something hard?3m dp270 is great stuff but expensive and best to use with gunOther than 3M do We use West boat epoxy setup all the time in our custom shop- it s at high end woodworking stores (in California at least)Once you ve filled wood with epoxy you ll want to do it with everything.Your other option is get super thin super glue and kicker, and sand some fine sawdust the same color as the bridge. Put some glue, pack the dust, another drop of glue and then the kicker. Sand it down and it ll look perfect
