anyway, what i will do is break this up into three ranks: a rank of the top three, a rank of the middle three, and a rank of the bottom two. this does what you wish to do w/o making me vomit about breaking the rules.
black sabbath, b/c 'supernaut' is genius masterful rock music and they have many other great things that they have done and they are incredibly influential band
big black, b/c i have listened to these records so much, probably more than the black sabbath, and this, like the b.sabbath, was new music that sounded different from anything else, at least from the _bulldozer_ on. they are also very influential and excellent band. but they are not so old as black sabbath, so fuck them down to number two.
black flag, for i like some of this music if not nearly all of it, and they are also very influenzzzzzzzzzz.
