that seems harsh... its coming from a girl who gets photographed as everyone elses party, so its hard to read anything in this world as being anything more than some mystic exotic flauntbut hey we all go on vacation, the lucky ones get to live on vacation pursuing their dreams and its kind someone shares their travels and the picture quality sure is great

CSC by John Yingling, on FlickrCarsick Cars. 05/03/2018. Little Bar, Chengdu. They played after the touring band, which made me nervous they weren t going on for a hot bit, but all was well. I preferred that anyway, so they could do their thing. Trip back in time to the oldies once again. Some new songs! Aside from that Yugong Yishan gig for Maybe Mars anniversary, I believe the last time I caught them was at School Bar, which was surprising even then. Good to see ˜em still at it. #china

dumplings by John Yingling, on FlickrIs it weird I never truly loved the dumplings in Harbin? Wasn t it supposed to be the haven? Maybe I did it wrong, but three years of loving 饺å more in other cities , I don t know. Finally found a beef dumpling in walking distance I could eat daily. It s almost always from å…°å·ž. A cluster of new spots opened up right by the school after the holiday. This one s our fave. Open late. #china #food

StolenGroup by John Yingling, on FlickrThis is Stolen. I've talked about them a lot. For six years, since the first time I saw them, and they have left me consistently impressed. Has it really been that long since that day in Little Bar? Things were different after that. From food, my perception, it did exactly what one hopes travel will do in the end, and also made me unable to go back to the way things were. These people, they've been endlessly supportive, and it has been easy to try and return the favor. I'll begin writing a small piece on Stolen soon, with some stories, as I begin to reflect on the last few years time. Considering they're working on a new album soon, I think it's safe to say they've still got more up their sleeve, and I cannot wait to see what is is. Photo taken Saturday in Beijing. You can listen to their newest LP here : https://stolenmusic.bandcamp.com/album/fragment
