Re: What are you buying, What's on its way?
72Yep, no real need for the cut when the tone stack is shared like a plexi. Also the Master will be by favorite type (LarMar) which doesnt need a defeat function. All the way up it's straight standard amp.tommy wrote: Wed Jun 23, 2021 10:54 amAwesome. There hasn't been a single day of regret on my V-30P (though maaaaaybe I would've pushed for a defeatable master volume). I noticed a lack of Cut knob mentioned, which I'd call fairly crucial on AC30 builds - will both volumes share the treble/bass stack then?four_oclocker_2.2 wrote: Wed Jun 23, 2021 10:26 am So we're doing a variation on an AC-30 head with EL34s/cathode biased (40 watts.) Controls will be Bright Volume, Normal Volume, Treble, Bass, Master Volume, w/ hi/low inputs.
I've joked about calling it a U2-40, but I understand if the good doctor doesn't find this nearly as amusing as I do.
EDIT - just saw Tony's post about the inputs being blended.

73I think he got cancelled recently but another name for the amp could be the Lar/Mar Superstar. Folks we got a great show tonight,

Working right? Can I ask how much it cost you?
I am kicking myself because a local shop Rockhaus had one for $200 in perfect shape, and I was low on cash so I couldn't spring for it.
