The funniest thing I've ever heard was at the line for the buffet at a wedding. There were about 70 guests in a pretty small gathering space, and the bride and groom came from different backgrounds, so people had divided themselves into two lines according to that strata. My friend Adam waited until there was one of those lulls in group conversation, and yelled out, "Who here hates pants?"

The second funniest thing I've ever heard was this joke from Norm MacDonald on Weekend Update:
