Yes, it's quite good. Hulu has it streaming too.
Thanks! On it
This was really great!
It was, wasn't it? Managed to catch it at a pub in Streatham called the White Lion where they have an annual free film festival towards the end of the summer. Was quite surprised that more of the footage hadn't come to light before now.

Bump.

New to me finds recently:

Voice of the Eagle - The Enigma of Robbie Basho (2015). Was able to watch this for free on fuckin' Tubi. Very enjoyable if you like guitar nerdery and cult shit (yes and yes).

Cecil Taylor - All the Notes (2006?). Low budget, but Cecil is so charismatic and bonkers it doesn't matter. Brief Thurstron appearance because of course.

American Masters: Max Roach - The Drum Also Waltzes (2023). local PBS station or app. Very good, I didn't know much about him outside of the famous groups he was in early on.

Anyone seen Louder Than You Think, about the (now late) original Pavement drummer, record producer, and Stockton, CA-based eccentric Gary Young?

Or King Loser, concerning the excellent if self-destructive New Zealand band of the same name?

I haven't checked out either one. Just curious and hunting for smart people's opinions.

No, but it's now #1 on my list of things I need to seek out and watch. Thanks for the heads-up.
