Another great Trance Syndicate band.

Not as good as Johnboy or Paul Newman though.

Both bands also had a lot of songs that soar.

Earlier I think I shared "The New Goth" from Paul Newman. Soaring coda!

This modern, soulful, Kelly Price church song sets me off, especially when everything kicks in, then goes higher.

Not a Will Oldham fan particularly, but the shift after the second verse in this is pretty magnificent.

I used to play drums and sing in the church choir for fun and because, well, gospel music. Last time I was in church - aside from a few funerals - I was a kid and they talked me into singing lead on this. Big mama said "you sang the song and never came back."
