After my PC crashed I’ve only installed the Izotope plug-ins that I use the most. Thought I see if there’s anything worth reinstalling last weekend. Could no longer sign in to the manager, tried to install the new manager which just would not install properly . Stuff like that drives me nuts!

FWIW I logged into and updated to the new version of Manager with no issues and everything seems to be working OK for me, including plugin updates.

Thanks for checking! Will have to look into it next weekend. I wasn’t able to log in with the old manager version and the new version just wouldn’t work.

Plugin Alliance has a ridiculously cheap sale going on right now. I did the math and it's cheaper to buy some plugins than spend the money on the mega subscriptions. I ended up getting all the plugins I use on the reg, and about to cancel my subscription when it ends in December.

There's a few plugins for $9.99 that would be silly not to get considering the price. There's the Elsysia Nvelope, SPL Transient Designer Plus and the bx_refinement. Really cool, subtle tools if you don't want to always rely on compressors or EQs.

On top of this, there's some really nice ADPTR plugins that I've been wanting to try, and now they're on sale for $39 each. The one's specifically were the Metric AB and Streamliner.

I spent some time with Metric AB doing some mixes and now I don't think I could do without it. It's a great tool for a variety of reasons, but I really like it because I don't have the most ideal setup for preciseness, and I often mix with headphones these days. I was using Total Balance Control before this, and while I like it for getting in the ballpark, Metric has helped me get even closer.

Streamliner is a tool for preparing your tracks for different streaming services. You could do this manually, but for the current price, this saves a lot of time, it felt like a no-brainer, especially if you are DIY all the way down.

Neither are total must-haves, but are looking for reference tools, these two are particularly great.

Izotope Ozone also has reference tools that are pretty good. It's got a lot more going on (being a mastering channel strip), but worth checking out depending on your needs. You get Total Balance Control for free with it, which is a nice, but simple reference tool.

You mean the Izotope Ozone that I already have? *forehead slap*. I didn't even think to look into that, I just have an Ozone master chain set up in that always on my master bus, and I like it for my bullshit nonsense that I forgot it can do a lot of things. Meanwhile, if anything just sounds like Marked Men I'm happy and this probably isn't the way haha

Yeah, do you have Total Balance Control as well? It gets automatically installed with any Izotope product.

(I actually have Ozone as well, but I don't use it on my master chain anymore and I use it less and less, so I'm about to put it up on Knobcloud.)
