Stupid ass routines...
Old age is dumb.
I find ritualizing mundane things an easy way to get them done on the regular and not miss out.
Old age (for me anyway) forces you to slow the fuck down and be more deliberate. Measure your steps, not the distance between them. I've probably told this here, but I once worked with an old guy (like 67 when I was 19) who left me with sage advice. He said "we've got a lot of work to do men. Lot of work, and we're not gonna get it all done today so we might as well take our time". Then he lit a smoke, tipped his hat over his eyes, and dozed as he pulled on the smoke.
Being old means knowing when and how to take your time and still achieve...

If I see a spider indoors, I will capture it safely (for me and the spider) and release it outside, provided it's not an extremely dangerous species.
Moth and especially clothes moths?
SMASH
I'll let you all know when I transition into being a mothball user.

Recording an album in a weekend used to be a piece of cake.

I eat three dried prunes every morning and enthusiastically recommend this to others my age
I am increasingly likely to choose to watch a reasonably good quality live video of a band I like over going to their show
I really should start playing golf again as I can now get the senior rate and play from the forward tees without embarrassment
I have a preferred grocery store for buying several different foods/beverages (including my favorite non-alcohol beer)
I try to avoid having to drive after dark
I teach classes for a certain group of professional licensees and try to keep my lectures interesting with humor and cultural references, and was recently told that my pop culture references are "too old and students don't get them"

Arthritis is becoming a problem. I’ve had it in my legs and feet for awhile, but now it’s in my hands, especially my right hand. I wake up some mornings unable to make a fist. For chrissakes, I’m only 54!

I'd like to report after months, my right foot finally feels pretty normal!
I'd like to thank my cushy shoes for the help.
