Band: Coldplay

Oh wow. I could write a dissertation about my loathing for this particular band, but I will spare you and just hit a couple key points.

My ex loves this band, (he is not the reason why I would like to wish them into the cornfield) so I feel as if I have had enough exposure to their product to cast an informed vote in this matter.

I have had to endure countless hours of this shit being force fed to my brain and I can honestly say that this band (?) has turned me off of new music. Coldplay is a formulaic, product producing group who's only reason for existence is to feed the masses their daily dose of thorazine via commercial airwaves.

When Yellow was released, I gave them a chance, albeit a small chance, but a chance nonetheless. Parachutes came out, then Rush of Blood.. and I started thinking, "Wait a second, is this just the same song being played over and over again?" Then the import Blue. I hated them by this point. When would Chris Martin get over this emotional shtick bullshit?
The answer is never.
Coldplay is not making music for the love of making music, they are making music for commercial consumption, simple as. Martin himself has gone on record stating.. "All that matters in music today is that your song becomes a ring tone."
Fuckin'a, you narcissistic asshole!
Is it not enough that this band pretty much rips off Kraftwerk's "Computerliebe?" (changing only the vocals and some percussion)
Just goes to prove they are an insipid, uncreative group of wankers who are in fact incapable of writing more than one song over and over.

"In order for us to get excited about a new album, we have to have one song that we feel like everybody had to hear this song before we die, otherwise we'll be terribly depressed," Martin revealed. "So luckily with this new record, we're going to make, we have that one song."

Fuck off, Coldplay, you are CRAP.
Animals are something invented by plants to move seeds around. An extremely yang solution to a peculiar problem which they faced. T. Mckenna
