I had just finished listening to Italian Platinum when I read this. I knew nothing of Michael except for his drumming and wonderful posts. My deepest condolences, prayers, and sympathies on your loss of three great friends, Tim.

Truly sad day. I thought "not again" because of course it reminded me of Chris Saathoff's (Chin Up Chin Up) fate, and that was only a little over a year ago. I saw Silkworm at a Bottom Lounge show a few months ago and had been meaning to check out the Dials for a while. It is nothing more than a freak coincidence that these events have befallen cherished members of the rock community here in Chicago, but one cannot help but feel wronged by these events.

Is there any talk of setting aside a few minutes at Intonation this weekend to remember those whom we've lost? It would be more than appropriate.

If the families have any requests or needs that we can do or help with, please let everyone know.

Rhythms are elemental aspects of life. Drummers make manifest the elemental. They are beautiful. I'm very sorry.

Absolutely tragic.

My heart goes out to all the loved ones.

I came here looking for a good time, and I found it in Spoot.

His party posts were the only ones that made me laugh.

He was my favourite.

If there is a pile of oranges, the good ones will always go first.

He seemed like a sweet, strange fruit.

I am sorry.

Obviously, there's nothing i can say, or add that hasn't already been expressed. But i am very very sad to hear this. What a terrible thing. My heartfelt regards and condolences go out.

Salut.

xx

I realize my anger has the best of me right now

i wouldn't feel bad about that

i forget what those fucking stages are. but that is one of them.

knowing michael, he would probably not hold it against her. for some inscrutable, forgiving-to-a-fault reason known only to him. but that was one of his most admirable qualities. i can't blame anyone for not sharing it.
