I was listening to Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh earlier today. What a grotesque band. So easy to hate, and yet so cool.

Mekanik Kommandoh is good, but Magma definitley straddle the good/awful line. Much of it sounds like the soundtrack to a Moebius comic; it has that self-contained internalized fantasy feel, that's quite common in french sci-fi.

Actually, Alejandro Joworosky wanted Magma to score the music to his adaption of Dune, that never got made, and Jean Giraud to be the art director.
