Not sure about the kick, but Korg was blowing these kits out on Reverb for less than $400 a few months ago. Every review I read said the hardware was laughably bad/cheap, while the drums just sounded "OK."

Yeah, I've never seen one like that either. Although I've only seen mine and a couple others. Maybe an older design on the body/windscreen. It looks bigger.
