What the FUCK is WRONG with people?
It's White evangelicals, dude. People who believe the Earth is 6000 yrs old can be made to believe anything you tell them in the news. Welcome to the deep anti intellectual currents beneath red state America.
The worse the infrastructure, the more ball bearings he sells.
I think you give ball bearing dude too much credit.

A more relevant and potentially scary question is whether or not there would ever again be free and fair elections if Trump wins in 2024, who I'd imagine would try to find a way to stay in power in 2028.

It's blows my mind that no time-travel-to-stop-Hitler-minded person has decided to speed up this process since 2016 (esp post-2020), you know?

Granted, the issue would then be the danger of bringing harm to your community if one did something, particularly left-aligned.

just read the poll. it's on today's front page.

In 2020
+ 39
68% Biden, 29% Trump

today's Times/Siena Poll
+ 6
49% Biden, 42% Trump

The deterioration in Biden’s standing is broad, spanning virtually every demographic group, yet it yields an especially deep blow to his electoral support among young, Black and Hispanic voters, with Trump obtaining previously unimaginable levels of support with them.

Unemployment is at a fifty year low, and a majority of Americans believe it is at a fifty year high. The majority has been disinformed to the extent that the majority is now anti-reality. I think humanity has lost, and shit has won.

It'd be nice to think that America is just going through a phase right now, and at some point we'll collectively snap out of it.

The cyclical nature of history, and perennial conflicts, tend to undermine this, though.
