Two more films watched on an airplane, and unfortunately I believe the plane-friendly versions I watched of both were heavily edited:

The Outrun - damn. Great performance of a violent alcoholic by Saoirse Ronan. Guessing she might have first- or secondhand experience. And holy shit do I want to visit the Orkneys now. Not that I didn’t before. But they were depicted beautifully.

The Apprentice - I could not resist. Just felt gross and uneasy watching the film…… the actor playing Roy Cohn was fantastic. The actor playing Donald Trump…….. it stuck in my mind very early on that he reminded me of Mark Hamill and I could not get that out of my head. Other than that, I do not endorse or not not endorse this film. I nothing this film. Fuck Donald Trump.

Aye, well with a name like that, it’s likely a foregone conclusion.

The genial stoner reminded me a lot like the heshers I ran with in hs. Good time doc.

Watched For Your Consideration for the first time. Yeesh. Not his funniest by a sight, but there are some good chuckles here and there. The pathos of Catherine O'Hara's character was pretty affecting as she was waiting for the nominations. She'd do well in a dramatic role.

When I was a teenager I thought this movie was funny. Now all I can see is the pathos. Great doc regardless…and I hate docs. Would never turn it on for lolz.

I finally just watched The Substance.

I feel a bit sick.

My girls are watching Wicked. I assume there’s some culture war bullshit going on because the green lady is black?

Of course they didn’t even register because they’re not middle aged men 🤷🏻
