He never was! He ran in the first place to expand his brand without even expecting to win, then he DID win and stayed in office to stay out of prison, in addition to expanding his brand.

This is genius. I commend you, sir!
I was really hoping some theater owner out there would screen “Melania” but it was actually just Debbie Does Dallas.

What is really encouraging is Zohran Mamdan operating as if he's competing for the DNC presidential nomination in the next presidential term. He is really operating as if he's interested in leading the DNC in the near and distant future. Love his commitment to talking truth to power, in spite of poor leadership all around him.

Jeff Bezos installed Will Lewis to run the WaPo in 2024 and make it more MAGA friendly.

WaPo declined to endorse a presidential candidate in 2024. Endorsements don’t mean anything, but subscribers recognized the depravity and subservience of the message, and hundreds of thousands canceled subscriptions.

. . . which meant revenues plummeted.

. . . which meant massive layoffs and a death spiral.

Anyway.

Lewis laid off a massive chunk of the newsroom early last week and then thought it was a good idea
to attend a posh red-carpet Super Bowl event later that week.

Anyway:
”After two years of transformation at The Washington Post, now is the right time for me to step aside,” Lewis wrote Saturday afternoon in a brief note to staff. “I want to thank Jeff Bezos for his support and leadership throughout my tenure as CEO and Publisher. The institution could not have a better owner.”

“During my tenure, difficult decisions have been taken in order to ensure the sustainable future of The Post so it can for many years ahead publish high-quality nonpartisan news to millions of customers each day,” Lewis’ note concluded.

"The DOJ Redacted a Photo of the Mona Lisa in the Epstein Files"

"Update 2/5/26, 5:20 p.m. EST: The DOJ told 404 Media that the unredacted version of the document in question contains an image of a victim’s face overlayed on the face of the Mona Lisa image."

The very few media requests the administration chooses to respond to are quite odd.
