A lot of their pedals look and sound super goofy - especially whatever the hell is going on with his “uneffected” guitar sound - but he sold me on that pedal with whatever the hell he did at the beginning with the woodwind (not calling it a recorder), but no way would I actually do anything with that.
Its a really interesting way to use a filter, but I just don’t see a use for it myself. Seems like it would be just the thing to make a satanic spy soundtrack though.
Yeah, I'm not sure I'd get full value from the pedal, but now all I want to listen to is "satanic spy soundtracks", so thank you, Gamechanger.
Obvs, thanks to llllllllllllllllllll too

I have a Danelectro baritone and a lot of fuzz pedals, can I sign up for the "satanic spy scoring" project? I guess it'll be easier if I pull the trigger on this Recoder.
I liked the YT commenter who imagined bringing this pedal to GC and "stealing" a bunch of other pedals by sampling them.

Jokes aside I'm definitely not getting this to use on guitar. It's going to be part of my experiments to create self-awareness in a pile of pedals.

Ok I get it.. It records a sound file and uses it as a IR for convolution. Cool. I used to do that with the Freeverb 3 Plugin. Load in some sample of throat singing and use it like a reverb send. Too bad it's execution sounds grainy shrill and mostly terrible. I may have some cool uses as a vocal fx or with synths though. Makes guitar sound really bad to me.

Plus pedal is probably my fave guitar pedal I have by a long shot. Super musical, very tactile, and it kinda feels like it's doing what it's doing, if that makes sense. I have a lot of the Gamechanger pedals, but I skipped a few the past few years. The new one intrigues me enough to go back into the scrum.

Somebody should make a pedalboard with the Gamechanger Plus, the Union Tube & Transistor More, etc.

Yeah, the inscrutable website and "limited edition! last chance to buy is RIGHT NOW" messaging is a big turnoff.
They were also lying. Orders were closing 10th Dec. Now they've changed it to 25th.
