I just watched most of Wheel of Fortune (wife's favorite game show) and noticed that there were no political ads during the commercial break. Thank the heavens.

Imagine how much better it would be for democracy AND everybody's sanity if campaign spending and advertising was sensibly restricted, as it still is in less corroded political systems.

$16.7 billion spent on the midterms, including a record-breaking amount spent by billionaires. That money buys a lot of annoying you.
