I was just looking for general national figure skating news tidbits tonight, on google.
Instead, I immediately found that a girl that I used to skate with just died this weekend. She was 22 and had a 4-year old daughter.
I feel pretty awful at the moment.

Was on holidays last week in the Canaries. Decided to rent a quad bike for a couple of days to explore the volcanoes and isolated beach spots. Took a corner at about 45kph and the steering locked, sending both quad and I flying. Luckily i flew free of it and had only a hard volcanic track to deal with. Did my best stuntman, hit-the-ground-and-roll shit but still managed to flay all the skin off my back and left-side and fracture my right arm. Supposed to start recording last night but thats all off now. Feeling pretty shitty all over but gotta say those quads are mighty fucking fun.
p.s. sorry to hear about your friend mandroid. 22 is very very young. its going to be really tough for the daughter. can't imagine it.

On Saturday night, Jerry Bruckheimer told me that he really likes my poetry.

That's great, Brett.
As long as you told him how much you liked
Pearl Harbour in return. I look forward to the three-hour cinematized, blockbuster version of your latest collection.

Was your poem in three acts with a car chase in the second?

I pay good money for a book of poetry about nothing other than car chases.
