Technically bad drummers whose lack of ability actually contributed to quality music:
1. Maureen Tucker (The Queen of Bad Drumming)
2. Any Flaming Lips drummer pre-1990 (strike that; awful music as well)
3. Robo (who, contrary to his name, seemed incapable of keeping time)
4. Grant Hart (I mean really, the hi-hat is there for a reason. Give it a try some time)
5. Paul Westerberg (remember "Hootenanny"? Astonishingly, he tried it again for his recent solo albums)
6. Paul Hanley (who got better after Grotesque)
7. Kevin Fennell (What a nice guy. I felt bad for him.)
8. Colm O'Ciosoig (There's a reason most of Loveless's beats were sequenced)
9. Robert Gotobed (Well, it's not like any of them could play . . .)
10. Murph (You're lagging all over me)

I recently saw The Misfits live and I was blow away by ROBO drumming. And who listen to music checking a fucking metronome anyway (except Rush or jazz fusion fans)?

Mike Leigh - The Fall's drummer on Dragnet and related singles. Paul Hanley rules. Leigh had some trouble keeping time and his fills were funny in their badness. yet I still love Dragnet, which sounds at all times like it's about to totally fall apart.
Whoever played drums for the Runaways - I just hate the Runaways in general, but even then she sucked...is she dead now? I'd feel bad if I was speaking ill of the dead.
Simon Wright from the mid-'80's AC/DC - No, this guy was pretty bad, not Phil Rudd.
Paul McCartney - He's never been a very good drummer.
Meg White - well, duh.
Gary Young - Dude, you're a fucking drummer, part of the point of that is keeping time.
Larry Mullen - a cheap drum machine is more creative than this guy.
Lars Ulrich - overrated.
That guy from Rage Against The Machine - does he know more than three beats?
Ralph Molina - yeah, he's bad, but he keeps time.
Anyone who ever played drums for Spacemen 3 sucked.
Bobby Gillespie, but his limited ability suited what the band was doing.
that's all I can think of.
