Kitties!!!

The Kitten (four months old) is named Olive but I always call her "Pumpkin Patch"; I don't know why. ("Danger Cat" was vehemently vetoed by her dad.)

She likes to chase the broom while I'm sweeping, declares war on the cables coming out of my computer and stomps on my keyboard while I'm 5 (<-- that was from her) typing.

;llllllllll09=ooo9vgby7/67' (kitty again)

She is also obsessed with sinks and the drip of water. She jumped into the shower with me the other day and, upon actual wetness being felt, freaked the fuck out and jumped this way, then the other way, then over there.

The bathroom tap is a particular place of wonder. Wiping off the sink is pointless - distinct little paw prints are already on their way.

I was soaking some gunky candleholders in the bathroom sink and this was just clearly too much to bear and she had to figure this jive scene OUT. I heard crying and squeaking and, walking into the bathroom, was faced with a cat desperately trying to balance on the edge of the sink without slipping into the basin and getting her feet wet. This wasn't working very well.

Olive/Pumpkin Patch is tops. She says hi.

My new one, F11 'Smudge':

The green ink is where they gave her a shot, there's another one where they put her microchip in and (off camera) stitches where they spayed her. Rough for 6 weeks old. She's better, and cuter now.

p. to bumble: "danger cat" is an awesome name that I will probably steal for our next one.

This morning as I watched her swinging back and forth four feet from the floor, dangling by one paw's claws stuck in the windowblinds cord and still swiping at my cactus with her other paw, I shook my head at the injustice of it all. I'd like to see that Criss Angel Mindfreak freak pull off something like that.

The Kitten/Olive has a best friend, a best toy friend. It's a long stick with a string at the end of which you can attach a number of different drive-kitten-crazy objects, but we just leave on the foil streamer.

She loves it so much she drags it around our hardwood-floored house with her, especially to whatever room we are in. This is especially adorable because you can hear the stick being dragged from far away and we just start snuffling/giggling. She squeaks pathetically when she wants us to make it "go" for her and brings it into bed with us at night.

She lost her B.F.F. for a few days. I found it yesterday and spent the next few hours hosting happy-kitten-reunion funtime.
