Lambchop was orignially named Poster Child. Someone associated with the Poster Children asked them to change their name. They played a few shows under the name Imposter Child before settling on Lambchop.

Tortoise started out as Mosquito but so was a band with Steve Shelly and Tim Foljahn so...
