Any chance that your dad's cell number was the last number that you called before the text was sent? Or any chance that the number was written down somewhere near the phone?

no, i didn't have the number in my phone until he called me two days later, that's what's so crazy. My other phone froze up on me for no reason the day before the tect message, and erased the 300+ numbers I had accumulated over the past 6-7 years. So there weren't any numbers in my phone that night except for a few friends.

as for the text msg, maybe when you got your new cellphone at the shop, they tried to see if it's working right and send an sms to your dad. how did they have the number? I don't know, maybe you're all under the same cellphone company account? or maybe they looked to see what was the last number you dialed.

anyhow, that's weird, maybe the people raiding your house are planning to kill you at night or steal the whole one day you're not there.

Wait for them with a baseball bat. or call the police.
I don't know the american police, but if it happened in israel they'd say:

"People are getting into your property, ah ha. ok, we have no available policemen to send to your place right now"(maybe cause you only have 6 men on a shift????)
oh, and most cops in israel are corrupt, so most chances are that they'd be the ones raiding on my house. anyhow, call the police. lock the doors, i don't know. do something.

So last night after I came home from band practice the burner was on again. Different burner this time, set to 5.

The house was locked.

I am absolutely positive that I did not turn on the burner. It hadn't been used in about 3 days, and I check before I leave every morning, you know, because this happened already.

Check the attic and it may be time to locate the room of basement tunnel. This is getting werder. To bad you don't have a nanny cam type thing cause the action is arround the stove. Perhaps the cats have mastered the pushing turning action.

When you moved into the house, did you change the locks?

If you didn't, please do this ASAP.

Get a cylinder/keyset from these guys.

I have plans for securieng the premesis.

The previous tenant was my neighbor for three years. I am confident she isn't resposible for any of this, for sure.

The only way anyone could get into the house without breaking glass is through the front door since it's a basic knob/button lock... until i get that fixed. If it happens again after the door is secured, then I will be totally flabbergasted.

Maybe someone is cooking meth in your house. In brown county that too could be likely.
