I like Battles.
I like this song, "Atlas."
I have not heard the new record. It's not out yet, is it?
I only like one Animal Collective album; Campfire Songs.
I like Ice Cube, and Mirror.
I have not read "Atlas" the novel by Ayn Rand.

it's most likely to his credit that he hasn't read it.

I just saw Battles at the Black Cat a few hours ago. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Mary Timony rocked out before they came on, but even without her, it still would have been great. I recommend that you see this band. Stanier's drumkit is unique and kind of hilarious.

The Cleveland Battles/Lightning Bolt show was great. Stanier is such a great drummer.

I wonder if kids who like electronic music these days play air laptop in their bedrooms. If so, I wonder what their parents think when they walk in on them.

What a forest of cocks.
This song is pretty damn good, I've not yet heard the album because I don't illegally download music. Mainly because I'm still using 56k, but I'll definitly be purchasing the Record when it's out.
I think a lot of you kids like to try and be 'badass' and somehow above everyone else by ripping on bands like Battles because they've come into a huge amount of popularity and you know it'll itch some colons if you say something 'far out'. 'Oh this band is rubbish, what I like is much more advanced' yet you all fail to focus on the music itself or let it sink in, more worried about where you are on the music chain and what people are wearing. I don't think all of Battles music offers instant grattification, this song is a definite grower. At first I wasn't too keen on the vocals, and I still don't love the vocals an insane amount, but the music itself is perfection, and the Gary Glitter Glam facet is awesome.
I'm sure you all like better music and wear better clothes but I'm quite happy being not as good as you with my sweaters and 'gay'? taste, I actually get to enjoy life.

Must be fun to believe that your opinion is founded in sincere musical taste while others' are not.
This song is just not very good. Sorry, that's what i think and it's not because they're 'popular' or wear sweaters.
