My friend recently conducted an interview with Shellac where they had a little chat about the new record, among other things (also a pretty funny bit about the Battles, and Steve's apparent new-found dislike for them ("like an afro-pop band from the eighties")).

Kind of cool, I reckon.

My local record store sold me a copy yesterday.

Awesome. Probably my favorite Shellac record (previously it was Terraform). Like others have noted, less abrasive, more humor, and lots of hooks.

I think this is the one thats finally gonna break them wide! Watch out fellas, you're gonna be playing on SNL in a matter of months!
