No one is asking you to, do you have a problem with the English language? We're talking originality here, you don't have to listen to it. It doesn't have to have any merits. R Kelly is one of a kind - mental perhaps - but I don't see anyone else like him.

I agree. He's wholly other. Just because he's not rock or whatever doesn't mean he's a biter.
Since we're "going there" I'll say that Missy Elliott/Timbaland (both together and separately) and the Neptunes are also highly original.

Again, I refer you to the high budget, insane, badly thought out, bizarrely written 'hip hopera' he made. "One lousy off kilter track" - what are you on about? We're talking about the whole crazy Trapped In The Closet series, perhaps one of the most genuinely unpredictable moments ever seen in pop music. Personally, I think it's hilariously awful - cherry allergies and midgets? who thought this shit up? - but that series makes Prince look normal.

I wouldn't have called you one if you hadn't asked if I had a problem with the english language.
My point is R Kelly, Missy blah blah, Timba-what's-his-face, are not original artists. The template they use has been throughly abused, and signing unpredictable lyrics doesn't make you original.

I really don't agree. R Kelly isn't anything new. Even at his most unique, he's still predictable, and tired.
