I haven't heard anything by Polvo, so I'm going to go for MBV until I hear the other guys.

PS: Roundhouse have added another MBV gig on Saturday 21st June. I managed to snag a ticket, so any other interested peoples here better get their skates on!

More dates being added all the time for MBV if anyone feels they've missed out on something. Just got mine for Glasgow. Feel wierd about buying tickets for something that sold out in just a few hours...it's going to be crap isn't it?

I imagine tickets for the Polvo reunion are going to sell at a slightly less fast pace, like 1 a day.

To be fair, they weren't particularly good live when they were still a regular, functional band but I suppose that given the expanded budget/venue size of these gigs they might lay-on a DLR-style show involving boxing dolphins/dancing pygmies/nuclear apocalypse etc.

Or more likely, fuzzy, swirly projections accompanied by the sound of parents bellowing "You see Jojo?! I told you we shouldn't have brought little Tarquin! He doesn't like it at all!" at each other.

Yeah, I know. Being a cab driver after MBV couldn't have done wonders for her ego.

Many people i know would disagree heartily with this. Some friends of mine that aren't even huge fans of the band claim MBV to be the best gig they ever saw. Not that i ever saw them (i probably hadn't even heard them by the time they'd stopped playing live and i was definitely too young to be allowed to go), but even watching really shit quality bootlegs of "You Made Me Realise" live is better than watching 90 percent of most bands in real life person in front of you in real life.

I want my ears to be ringing for days. Bring it on. Bring on the volume and fuck my ear drums up. Make me lose my balance with sheer volume and book-end it with a killer riff. I've waited over 10 years for this oppurtunity, and i thought i'd never get the chance.

I'd watch Polvo too, but i could actually taste sick at the back of throat this morning with all the nerves being shredded as i sat trying to get my MBV tickets.

Imagine if musicians had to have real jobs too!

Like a band of cab drivers? Absurd!
