Yes, that's why I say "unless you are an alcoholic". But plenty of non-alcoholics too just don't know when to stop, removing most of the pleasurable experiences drinking can afford.

If you "just don't know when to stop", and this happens consistently, you most likely do meet the definition of an alcoholic. You're just in denial about being an alcoholic.
