How important is a band s name?

Out of my personal stash of names, this is my favorite...

Col. Panic has spoken of his admiration for this name as well...

However, I have posted it here before but I'll post it again...

There's not a day that goes by without me wishing I had used another band name.

To play it safe would be to use a simple one word name, or at least two words mashed up as one. It will sound sucky one day too, but not as sucky as a long sucky band name.

Then again Set Fire to The Flames is a pretty awesome name.

I think it's one of those things people think of independently, but a bunch of people think of it at around the same time, and everybody thinks they're the first one to think of it, but nobody knows who really did...

Nah it sounds too much like a homophobic statement. Anyway we picked Bacteria.
