Joy Division. By a wide margin.

I like the Birthday Party fine. I can see why people really, really like them.

They have a certain bluesy-vibe to some of their songs that I find a bit. . . cheesy.

"Nick The Stripper" is a good example of that.

There isn't a single moment in the Joy Division catalog that I find cheesy.

I also prefer New Order to anything Nick Cave has done.

Okay, I've made a decision.

I'm listening to Scratch Acid. I can definitely hear the Birthday Party influence all over.

So my vote goes to the Birthday Party.

Nick The Stripper was a great song...not cheesy at all
also the New Order were not comparable to the Birthday Party...neither to the first Nick Cave records...
ok as you i voted for Joy Division...but i love the Birthday Party..and there is nothing of cheesy in them
