Like I figured: you won't answer the questions because too many of the popular people here on the forum use that type of insulting language against people who refuse to deny the possibility of God.

Do you think it is prejudice when atheists refer to theists as 'people who believe in magic', 'people who believe in nonsense', 'people who are anti-science', or as people who are 'dumb', 'irrational' or 'primitive'?

Do you think those are fair description of people who will not agree with atheists that God does not exist?

Prejudice, in essense, is unfair, since it involves pre-judging something, or someone, before you know all the facts.

Ok Rick ,when someone pre-judges anyone, regardless of what the reason is, it is prejudice. No doubt, it happens on this board, as it happens anywhere else, and in many different contexts, in this world.
In the case of attitudes towards religion on this board, sure.

It is probably one of the more common human failings.

Oh jeez... you're back talking about religion again. No, Mark. The questions are about people accepting the possibility of a higher power in the universe. The questions are not about belonging to a religion.

Again:

Do you think it is prejudice when atheists refer to theists as 'people who believe in magic', 'people who believe in nonsense', 'people who are anti-science', or as people who are 'dumb', 'irrational' or 'primitive'?

Do you think those are fair descriptions of people who will not agree with atheists that God does not exist?

Are you capable of evaluating the behavior of some atheists or not?

It was shorthand. I know you know what I meant.

Right now, I'm evaluating your behavior. You're acting like a troll.

Man this thread is interesting, but it's a total mess. Again, the rhetoric here is all over the place Rick. Everyone has found some other interesting things to talk about, because you make such convoluted points with absurdly rabid personal attacks in between. But the original idea you typed was:

Might be sound policy for the atheists to accept God as a possibility, because if you throw away God, then there's nothing at all standing between you and your government

I don't know that you've convinced me of this idea.

Why would I try and convince you? You're the kind of person who is begging to live in a feudalist police state. I *want* you to work for a globalized, Godless, totalitarian society, and then I want your new leaders to wring every last drop of freedom out of you. You don't deserve it, and you apparently don't want it. Go ahead and return your unalienable rights to the window because you don't like why you got them.

All thread long you have been all over the place attacking people, changing the topic, and ranting bullshit. I asked for proof of your first point. But you can't be bothered finishing your point. Not with the likes of me, although you were motivated enough to research old posts of mine, and you researched old posts of someone else, and then created a stupider version of what they said (out of context) and called it your translation. Don't put on airs that your too high and mighty, you've already shown you don't have anything better to do.

The funny thing is Tom/Rick/Bob has a job, pays his taxes, rent/mortgage, invests his money in banks and uses debt just like everyone else.

On top of that he posts rants on an indie rock forum - which don't show up when you google the topics - and claims to be an "activist"

After a collective dumping of even addressing the loon he switches the attention honey pot to religion. The only thing stupid here, is us schmucks feeding the his attention seeking ego after he got upset because his post were falling off the front page, because no one cares about the option of a fruit cake.

What a threat...

But I must admit baiting the guy is fun.
