What, specifically, is wrong with occultism as compared to any other set of religious opinions and superstitions? Why would an occultist or spiritualist be less trustworthy than a Christian, Jew or Muslim?

Exactly why is that any less desirable than any other religious practice? Nothing to do with secret societies, elites or skull and bones. Why would spiritualism and occultism be reprehensible, whereas (in Rick's logic) theism is beyond criticism?
