Great guitarist & bassist, kinda boring songwriter.I'm not sure what folks around here dislike about the s/t, actually. I get that the mastering is in less-than-good taste, but the songs and performances are just ridiculous. Shit, what can you say about Barocas' drumming?I listened to it immediately after posting that last comment. It's really a pretty good record. Still like ...Sweetheart way more, but the s/t is solid.

I think it made that record even closer to perfect IMO.I love this record and already have the original and Savory +3. Is the remaster enough of an improvement to warrant a repurchase? It's neat to hear, though I still prefer the original. I think if they wanted more low end that badly, they should have remixed it instead of bumping up the whole mix around 100hz.

I used to love Grippe and Novelty, and now I have a hard time getting through those albums. I can still listen to Mission: Control over and over again.I'd probably agree with this, too, although I'd also say that the second BA album is better than the first. God, the Bill song on the first BA record is pretty awful (as you'd expect a song yelling at a record company exec to be).

Man, if there is any Alanis song that resembles Livid in any way, then I need to re-evaluate her catalog and bump her thread (no pun intended).I can't be the only person who hears the s/t as a good head and part of a shoulder beyond *Sweetheart*. The way that thing mixes noise and melody is brilliant.
