S/T has some jams, but I think it slips into Alternative Nation territory a bit too often. Novelty is really underrated.

I think the last s/t record has its moments, though as a whole it doesn't hold a candle to For Your Own Special Sweetheart. Never really listened to much of the earlier stuff.

Great band. S/T is great too.The only record that never clicked with me is Grippe.

I would combine about half of each record to make one really good album. S/T does get slick in spots (the Andy Kellman AMG review pretty much nails it), but Sweetheart has some snoozers too (Motorist?).

Man, if there is any Alanis song that resembles Livid in any way, then I need to re-evaluate her catalog and bump her thread (no pun intended).I can't be the only person who hears the s/t as a good head and part of a shoulder beyond *Sweetheart*. The way that thing mixes noise and melody is brilliant.
