Is that a limited edition EP, does it come on vinyl or just cd?
It is strictly limited, and cost me $40. It is meant to be listened to on hooded vinyl.

Salut, Fred Lane!
I hear you, Angus Jung. There was recently something released, old live tapes of Fred Lane and other kansas city people... let me look...
Ah - I meant Tuscaloosa. And boy is there Fred Lane news.

Here's what he's up to today
The "pataphysical review" was released a while back by some label in the UK. I intended to get it back then and I still intend to get it today.

Anyone else been loving the new trail of dead album "worlds apart", I think it's amazing!
How about latest Blood Brothers album "Crimes", pretty insane if you like that sorta thing?
Edit:
Just realised that doesn't really count as 5 albums. hmm
How about The Constantines - Shine a light
Beach Boys - Smiley Smile, Friends
And my iPod on shuffle, so loads of different stuff.

me too!!

My friend and I were originally disappointed with it, but after repeated listens over the course of many years I actually prefer it to some of their other stuff. It's too bad they had to go and break up right afterward.
Somewhere or other (perhaps even here, or maybe Brian Walsby's site, or some other messageboard) I read that Ash is recording Dave's band, which includes Steve on bass. Apparently there have been some discussions toward reforming, although no timetable as of yet. We can hope, though...
As for my own recent obsessive listening:
Sun Kil Moon:
Ghosts of the Great Highway
Aphex Twin:
Drukqs
Melochrome:
This Is Motion
Steve Reich:
Music for a Large Ensemble
various demos from something I'm working on
