E.R. Schmidt 3/4 bass, made in Germany around 1910. Fully carved, maple back and sides, spruce top, ebony board. Used to belong to Frank Sinatra's bass player.
ZOMG! Can you post a quick vid? What a marvellous instrument : )

I'm looking for an octave set of crotales, if anyone has a lead. They're super expensive new ($1600-ish) and I'd like to try and keep it around $800 or so for a second-hand set. Weird instrument to be looking for, I know, but figured I'd ask!

Thanks! Sorry, I don't know how to post videos. I'm old, and way behind on things. Tired too.

I just ordered some Lollar pickups. I'm doing the partscaster thing with a Squier Jazzmaster. I'd like to slap a Mastery bridge in there soon too, but funds will not allow at this time.

(used) TC Electronic Plethora X5. I think this will have any effect combo I'd ever want without a bunch of amp modeling stuff I don't.

Wanted a Firebird for years, couldn’t afford a proper one, so I built one from a kit from Guitar Kit Fabric:
I finished it with 4 coats of danish oil tinted with burnt sienna oil paint, wet sanding the first couple of coats in order to create a grain filling slurry of oil and wood dust, and then 2 coats of Briwax on top. The hardware as supplied in the kit is garbage, so I fitted some Warman Firebuckers. I’ll replace the tuners too, and do a touch of fret levelling as there’s a couple of high spots. It didn’t take long to sort the nut. It sounds and plays pretty great though, mildly uneven frets and all, I’m very pleased.
