If this is about Disco Elysium I would say keep going. It seems designed to come up with an interesting experience even if you make a lot of seemingly wrong decisions.
Thanks - I am pressing on, and trying not to save-scum past failed checks. My completionist tendencies are the ones griping, but from seeing another friend start a very different playthrough I can tell that the game’s deft in keeping itself interesting.
Having platinum’d Persona 5 after a mere 400-odd hours over three years, I’ve started Persona 5 Royale, and I’m not ashamed. That game-world is a sanctuary.

My 6-year-old son and I have been playing the Switch a ton. Staples, mostly…Mario U, Mario Kart, etc. I’ve gotten understandably into the NES and SNES games…I went on a Super Metroid bender not too long ago.
To my surprise, the game I’ve gotten the most enjoyment from is probably Luigi’s Mansion 3. Playing cooperatively on the story mode and the online game are both a hell of a lot of fun.
Another game I’ve played a ton of is Sneaky Sasquatch, on Apple Arcade. So much stuff to achieve with a nice mix of challenges requiring physical skills (racing, etc.) and problem solving. Plus the music is great. I think I have well over 100 hours in this one.
My son finished Bowser’s Fury yesterday which I think is the first game he’s finished on his own. Proud dad moment.

Been playing videogames all my life but don't have time for them lately.
Still have my 360 with all those great open world games. Fallouts, Skyrims and such. I like that type of games cause they are ...relaxing somehow.
Used to play a lot of pc games. STALKER. come on. Super addictive.

Iratus Lord of the Dead is on sale for $10 on Steam.
This game is totally worth the full price, so for $10 it's a steal. If you have played Darkest Dungeon, it's similar in a way: you create a squad of 4 characters and crawl through a dungeon using dynamic turn-based actions. The big difference here is that instead of delving into the dungeon as a group of heroes, you are a necromancer trying to escape the dungeon by raising an army of the dead. The mechanics differ much after the squad concept. You play as Iratus, who has his own abilities that he can mix up with his minions that he builds out body parts from the dead bodies from battle. Stress plays a different role than it does in DD... as you cause the stress as one of 3 types of damage. There's a whole management section for alchemy and skill tree upgrades for Iratus and individual trees for minions. There are endless builds, so the replay-ability is high. Not to mention the dev team has consistent updates that change the game up. While I loved Darkest Dungeon, I never really got that deep into it. With Iratus, it sucked me in immediately and I've played the hell out of it. Bonus if you change the voice language from English to Russian (it is a Russian game, after all).
This game seems to always be at least 50% off. I just picked it up and am enjoying it. I don’t know that I would be as impressed if I’d spent $20, but for $9-10, it’s a good buy. I never played Darkest Dungeon.
I would say as a resource management RPG, it scratches most of the tactics RPG itch for me.

Axiom Verge 2 is out. I’m playing on switch in order to avoid the Epic ecosystem. Seems good so far.

Death Stranding. One of those games that understandably polarizes oplinion. It took quite a few hours for me to form an opinion, which now is very positive. Middle to late stages of the game are pretty satisfying after equipment upgrades and road and zipline networks begin to take shape. I was a big fan of the Stalker games and this gives me the same feeling even though the games are very different. I am not exactly engrossed in the story aspect, not because there's anything wrong with it but I'm much happier out in the wilds solving traversal dilemmas or engaging with Mule camps or BT infested areas. I'm not a big fan of long cutscenes. It's not as perfect as those claiming it is, as it does take a while to figure out at the start or to get well equipped enough but I do love it like very few other games. Norman Reedus was the perfect choice as the main character. I recommend it but would suggest watching some of the youtube videos positive and negative. Not suitable for playing in short sessions. Some negatives include, clunky interface, terrible songs at times and the aforementioned cutscenes and storytelling. Perfect plague era game and I was a little skeptical of the human connection/collaborative aspect but it works well. Anyway, pretty good for a walking simulator.
