Indeed. This whole series mostly has the same preamp and bigger and bigger power sections and speakers. I had a Bandit 65 as a kid and bought a Backstage Plus a year or so ago for $60. Scratches that itch. Recommended! I personally think they sound pretty great clean or with the saturation halfway up. Pull thick and turn that post up.benadrian wrote: Thu Jul 20, 2023 4:51 pmIndeed, yes it is. It's also the little sister to the Bandit 65.thecr4ne wrote: Thu Jul 20, 2023 10:47 am Isn't this the bigger brother to the Decade that everyone's jizzing their jeans over 'cause Queens of the Stone age use them or something?
I've often had the dream of just getting a couple Bandit 65 combos for either my noisy rock rig, or as stereo power amps with speakers for Helix. I always thought the Bandit 65s sounded terrible in a heartwarming way; like a warm memory of childhood camping where you were cold and hungry for half the trip.
I don’t hate it either. Strap it on Gram Parsons, and it would look like it belonged.
I was totally down to buy it dor the $250 asking price, but it was gone quick. FIrst that scalloped Tinder strat, now this. Run of bad luck.Wood Goblin wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 1:33 pmI don’t hate it either. Strap it on Gram Parsons, and it would look like it belonged.
I was also thinking “would” but was too cowardly to be the first to say so.
