I don't have any new news on when this is going to be released but here's an interesting interview with the director just posted yesterday. Didn't know that SM & Spiral recorded a new song with Gary for this.

That original Pavement drummer, he was older than the rest and kinda funny in an almost hippiesh way if I remember correctly. surely fuel for a good doc.

had a Prime free trial over the last month so I watched this Wayne Shorter doc series. Higher production budget than the typical jazz doc and the additional flourishes mostly work. I've really underestimated a lot of his output, particularly the quartet stuff he did in the last 10 years or so.
