You can no longer directly access who liked and QTd and so on when you click on a tweet but have to go through an extra submenu. Just adding on more bullshit.

He seems to have no qualms about using his platform to destabilize democracies elsewhere, including at home. At least the MIC are tens of thousands of qualified people whose devotion to our collective interests are more assured than a single megalomaniac assured of his own "genius".
His thinking that his efforts are to "save humanity" is exactly the sickness of his own narcissism, especially given his reactions when other equal and greater efforts to "save humanity" get in the way of his business interests and libertarian ideals.
These "brilliant innovators" are on the right track until they realize entrenched success, get surrounded by sycophants, and quickly lose their ideals to paranoia over their own continued business hegemony. It's at that point they need to retire, sit back, and find ways to give their money away to people with better ideals and proposals. To Bill Gates' credit - he saw that clearly and acted sooner rather than later to do just that.
His idea of saving humanity is literally just prolonging the existence of the species as much as possible. How much people suffer is immaterial. This isn't too far off from the "effective altruism" aka Longtermism belief of Gates, Bezos, etc. They both have their roots in Utilitarianism and they both lead to rich people generally doing whatever they want to bandy their wealth and power about. The difference is, Musk's version is idiosyncratic and dumb, because he has to have a hot take on everything, and is also a very dumb man.

The million dollar question is when are Musk's accusers gonna come forward.
His quick defense of Brand makes even less sense than usual: we're talking someone who's fame peaked about 10 years ago and politically aligns with 'Bernie Bro'. What else could they possibly have in common.

Maybe it's because I'm in America, but I have literally never seen anything with Russell Brand in it. And judging from the recent news, that's a trend I will continue.

I don't recall ever seeing adult-porno-NSFW visuals on pre-Elon Twitter.
Recently, if I click on a trending topic, there's maybe a 50-50 likelihood of seeing something untoward within seconds.

He was quite funny in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and was okay in Get Him to the Greek, and he seemed to be a good and sympathetic spokesperson for addiction issues.
But he also went off the deep end years ago and revealed himself to be an insufferable, grandstanding narcissist. There are a handful of public figures where, when allegations like this surface, you think, “Yeah, no surprise there.” He’s one of them.
