Crap. I do have to give them credit, though - back when I was first discovering the underground, they did help me get around. Outgrew that shit pretty fast, though - training wheels.

whiskerando wrote:http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/tracks/06-05-17.shtmli wonder how long until they figure out the song wilco played on conan was a rod stewart cover. does the writer really think they were asking the crowd to sing along on a brand new song?
No, actually, they're right.
It's a new Wilco song that Tweedy wrote for Solomon Burke that he turned down.
Rod Stewart ALSO wrote a song called "Is that the thanks I get?"
I still hate Pitchfork.

Pitchfork is crap.
I've actually turned to
www.indieworkshop.com for my music reviews and news now. They do a much better job.
I had to get off the Pitchfork train after it started taking freakin forever for pages to load, just so I can read a review that sux ballz.

My god, this Pitchfork writing - more wankery than a hair-metal-themed porn.
Also: Are the Firey Furnaces nothing more than an elaborate joke on indie types by Ryan Schrieber? I'd fucking believe it. Shit Shit shit shit.

Crap! If I wanna read record reviews my choice is buddyhead unfortunately they don't review records anymore. It sucks when you can tell someone's writing with a thesaurus right next to them.

I had difficulty reading this all the way through.
When I originally read it, "apropos" was misspelled as "appropos," but it's fixed now.
